The park opened in the 1950’s, but closed its doors for good in 2002 after a boy lost his arm on a water ride called the Nautical Jet.
Found this wonderful old orange juice stand, long closed, on Hwy 441 just about a block and a half north of the intersection with Hwy 46 on the right. My husband tells me they used to sell all the OJ you could drink for 10 cents at these stands in the 40s, 50s and early 60s. it was apparently part of the old Giant Orange chain that peaked in popularity in the mid 50s. It’s just outside Mount Dora, Andrea Pauline
Thank you! c: I dig anything that gives me the creeps

"A fisherman passes a shipwreck near the port of Greenville, Liberia. In the mid 1990s, a vessel arrived carrying an aid cargo of rice and fuel. The captain and crew left the ship when it developed a problem and was in danger of sinking. They returned the next day to find that the whole cargo had disappeared and the ship had been ravaged".
